Seminar on preparing Environmental Hot Spot related industry practitioners, representatives of environmental authorities and experts in BAT in Arkhangelsk, Russia

An Intensive Practical Workshop “Environmental Hot Spots of the Barents region: Best Available Techniques, Best Environmental Practices, Integrated Environmental Permits and Environmental Performance Enhancement Programmes" was held in Arkhangelsk, 22-26 April 2019

The workshop arranged for training industry practitioners, regional environmental officers and BAT experts of the Arkhangelsk region (SA No 1b-4) has become the fourth training event in a series of intensive workshops / trainings to be organised in the Barents region within the framework of Supporting Activity No1 “Preparing regional experts to apply the principles of BAT and the practical use of the Russian BREF documents for various branches”.


The workshop in Arkhangelsk has been funded by the Barents Hot Spots Facility (BHSF) at NEFCO (the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation). NEFCO funded also the preceding workshops in Moscow (“BAT Training for Managers”), Syktyvkar (“BAT Training for Experts” in Komi), Petrozavodsk (“BAT Training for Experts” in Karelia), Naryan-Mar (“BAT, Best Practices and EPEP in the Nenets Okrug”) as these workshops are integral parts of Barents Supporting Activity SA 1 ("Preparing regional experts to apply the principles of BAT and the practical use of the Russian BREF documents for various branches").
