Organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Murmansk Region in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, II International Session "Cooperation in the Arctic" will be taking place in Murmansk on 14 November.
Heads of regional and municipal governments of Finland and Norway and diplomatic missions of Hungary, Sweden and the Netherlands together with representatives from international organizations involved in the Barents cooperation confirmed their participation as speakers.
For the first time since its publication in September this year, Canada’s Arctic and Northern Policy Framework will be presented in Russia by Canada’s Chargé d’affaires a.i. Stéphane Jobin.
Representatives from foreign ministries of Finland, Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Denmark as well as EU’s Ambassador at Large for the Arctic Marie-Anne Coninsx and Ambassador of the EU to Russia Markus Ederer have also been invited to participate.
The session will be moderated by Tomas Hallberg, Head of the International Barents Secretariat, who has a long experience in Arctic affairs.
