An international ethno-camp of young performers on traditional musical instruments of the Barents region

Participants of the ethno-camp "Kantele - CAMP" are young musicians and performers on national instruments aged from 16 to 24 (24 people). Participants from the Russian Federation from the five subjects that make up the Barents Region, from the provinces of Norway, Sweden and Finland are invited to participate in the ethno-camp. Leading musicians from the Barents region will be invited as teachers. 

Participants of the creative ethno-camp "Kantele - CAMP" are given the opportunity to get acquainted with new forms of performing arts, approbation of modern synthesis (DJing, electronic music) and folk musical instrumental creativity within the framework of the experimental improvisation platform. The result of the ethno-camp will be the creation and presentation of a unique composite orchestra of folk and modern national instruments. 

The camp is organized by the Foundation for support and development of ethno-cultural initiatives, receiver of the Barents Euro-Arctic Region Cultural Prize 2017.
